The Alma Bryant Hurricanes baseball team delivered a commanding 8-0 victory over Davidson yesterday in area play. Cade Phillips was electric on the mound, throwing a complete perfect game no-hitter, striking out 7 batters and keeping the Warriors off balance all night. His performance marks one of the most dominant outings in recent Hurricane baseball history.
At the plate, the Canes were hot as well — Trevor Wilkerson went a perfect 4-for-4, including a solo home run, leading the offensive charge. Austin Bolch added two hits of his own, while Alex Ramos and Brayden Roberts each contributed a hit and scored two runs apiece, helping secure the win.
The Hurricanes are back in action today (Thursday) as they host Davidson for a doubleheader at Bryant Baseball Field. Tonight’s games will also serve as Senior Night, as we honor the incredible contributions of our senior players who have given their all to this program.
Let’s pack the stands, wear our blue, and support these young men as they continue their impressive run through area play. Go Canes!
