Alma Bryant High School is proud to announce that senior Stanley Roberson has been selected as the 2024 recipient of the Brent Lane Zirlott (BLZ3) Memorial Scholarship. This scholarship honors the life and legacy of Lane Zirlott III, a young man who lived with purpose and passion, grounded in his love for Jesus, family, friends, and archery.
Though Lane’s life was tragically cut short at just eleven years old, his joyful spirit continues to inspire others through the annual BLZ3 Archery Memorial Tournament and now, the newly launched BLZ3 Memorial Scholarship. Each year, this award is given to a student who embodies Lane’s strength of character, determination, and zest for life.
This year, Stanley Roberson was selected by an anonymous committee as the scholarship recipient. Stanley is an exceptional student who scored a 35 on the ACT and will be attending the University of Alabama in Huntsville this fall. Coach Wilson shared, “Stanley is an all-around great student—and an even better person. He’s well-versed in many areas and is truly deserving of this honor.”
Congratulations, Stanley! Your future is bright, and we know you will continue to carry Lane’s light and legacy with you as you pursue your dreams.
