Monday Motivation — CANES CREED 💙💛 Never stop being positive because of negative people. Never stop being excellent because of average people. Never stop being a believer because of doubters. And then watch how your life starts changing. At Alma Bryant, that’s how we live out the CANES CREED: 🔹 Community – We lift each other up, not tear each other down. 🔹 Accountability – We own our effort, attitude, and actions. 🔹 Never Settle – Average is not our standard. 🔹 Empathy – We lead with understanding, even when others don’t. 🔹 Strive for Excellence – We compete to be our very best. Hurricanes, don’t let outside noise define your mindset. Choose positivity. Choose excellence. Choose belief. That’s the CANES way. #MondayMotivation #CANESCreed #LeadTheStorm

Wednesday Wisdom — Lead with GRIT “The time is always right to do what is right.” — Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Doing what is right is not always the easiest choice — but it is always the choice that defines our character. 💥 Growth: Every right decision moves us forward. 💥 Resilience: Stay grounded in your values, even when tested. 💥 Integrity: Your character shows in the choices you make when no one is watching. 💥 Toughness: Real strength is choosing what is right, not what is easy. Hurricanes, let this be our reminder today — leadership starts with doing the right thing, even in the small moments. That is how we build a culture of GRIT at Alma Bryant. #WednesdayWisdom #HurricaneGRIT #DoWhatIsRight #LeadTheStorm

There have been talks on social media of a walkout for a political protest here on our campus. We want to remind everyone that our campus is a place for learning, growth, and respect for others. While we recognize and support your First Amendment right to express your views, school is not an appropriate place for protests that disrupt the educational environment or result in missed class time. With that said, leaving class without permission and skipping are both grounds for disciplinary action.

Our priority is maintaining a safe and focused atmosphere where every student has the opportunity to learn without interruption. If you have concerns or feel strongly about an issue, we encourage you to use respectful and appropriate channels to share your voice, the school setting is not that place.

Thank you for helping us keep our school community positive, respectful, and committed and focused on academic success.

Wednesday Wisdom Hurricanes, success starts with one powerful decision — believing in yourself. There will be moments when things feel difficult… when doubt creeps in… when the road ahead looks challenging. But confidence isn’t something you wait for — it’s something you choose. When you trust your preparation, your effort, and your ability to grow, you unlock potential you may not even realize you have yet. 💭 “If you do not believe in yourself, no one will do it for you.” — Kobe Bryant Belief fuels GRIT. • It pushes you to grow. • It strengthens your resilience. • It anchors your integrity. • It builds your toughness. Today, walk a little taller. Speak a little more confidently. Attack your goals with purpose. Because Hurricanes don’t wait for others to believe in them — we believe in ourselves first. 🌪️

The number one thing we hear from industry leaders in the workforce in terms of preparing our students for life after high school is- attendance/being on time. With that said, school begins at 7:09, everyday. Please focus on developing good habits such as being on time and showing up daily- IT IS IMPORTANT IN LIFE- be dependable!

If you are caught wondering the halls in the mornings or between classes which create tardies, you will be placed in reset for the remainder of the day. Make it a priority to be on time.

Parents, please help us with this by ensuring your student is on campus by 7:09.

Monday Motivation Hurricanes, it’s cold outside. We’re getting closer to the break. And yes—it would be easy to slow down right now. But this is exactly when GRIT matters most. Growth means we keep learning, even when we’re tired. Resilience means we push through when motivation is low. Integrity means we do what’s right, even when no one is checking. Toughness means we stay determined and finish strong. The cold weather, the long weeks, and the countdown to break can test us—but Hurricanes don’t quit when it gets uncomfortable. We show up. We stay focused. We keep going. 💭 “Grit is living life like it’s a marathon, not a sprint.” — Angela Duckworth Today, and every day this week: • Give effort even when it’s hard. • Stay locked in when distractions creep in. • Finish what you started with pride. We’re close—but how we finish matters. Stay warm. Stay focused. Stay strong. Let’s show real Hurricane GRIT and keep pushing forward. 🌪️💙 Go Canes.

It was a historic night for Lady Hurricane Basketball as they defeated the MGM Vikings 71–52 to claim the 7A Area 1 Regular Season Championship. With the win, the 6th-ranked Hurricanes improve to 20–4 on the season and continue an incredible year on the court.
Madi-Marie Grayson led the way with 22 points, while Mari-Margret Grayson added 23 points and reached a huge milestone, scoring her 2,000th career point as a Hurricane. What an amazing accomplishment and a testament to her hard work, dedication, and consistency throughout her career.
With the regular season championship, the Lady Hurricanes will now host the 7A Area Tournament, giving them home-court advantage as they continue their championship run. Congratulations to our players, coaches, and fans on an outstanding season so far. Let’s pack the gym and keep the momentum going! 💙🏀🌪️

I – Integrity: Do what’s right, even when no one is watching.

Hurricanes, integrity is who you are when the spotlight is gone and the choice is yours alone. It’s telling the truth when it would be easier to stay quiet. It’s doing your own work, owning your mistakes, and standing up for what’s right—even when it’s uncomfortable.

Integrity builds trust.
Integrity builds respect.
Integrity builds leaders.

Today, challenge yourself to:

Make the right choice, even if no one would know.
Take responsibility when you mess up.
Treat others with honesty and fairness.
Be someone people can count on.
💭 “Character is doing the right thing when nobody’s looking.” — J.C. Watts

When you display integrity, you show real strength.
You show real character.
You show what it truly means to be a Hurricane. 🌪️💙

We will see warmer temperatures tomorrow, so everyone is expected to be in regular school uniforms once they enter the building. No hoodies will be allowed on campus tomorrow.
For those riding buses, you are welcome to wear beanie caps and extra layers at the bus stop (NO BLANKETS). However, everyone will need to be in full compliance of the uniform policy tomorrow once you step on campus.

🌪️ Monday Motivation: Toughness T – Toughness: Stay determined and finish strong. Happy Monday, Hurricanes! It’s cold outside, and some mornings it would be easier to stay wrapped up at home. But toughness is showing up anyway. Toughness is getting out of bed, getting to school, and choosing effort even when comfort is calling your name. Being here today already shows toughness. It shows commitment. It shows responsibility. It shows GRIT. Toughness looks like: • Walking into school ready to learn, no matter the weather. • Staying focused even when you’re tired or uncomfortable. • Giving effort when it would be easier to check out. • Finishing strong, even on the hardest days. 💭 “Mental toughness is doing the right thing when it’s the last thing you want to do.” — Unknown The cold won’t stop Hurricanes. We show up. We push through. We get better. Let today be proof that you’re stronger than excuses and tougher than conditions. Stay warm. Stay focused. Stay determined. And let’s finish this day strong.

We have not received any information of school cancellation at this time. So as of now, school will be in session as normal tomorrow. We will allow non-uniform winter jackets, beanie hats, and gloves so that our students may stay warm. Hoodies will also be acceptable, but we will ask that they are removed from heads while in the building. We will update here, Thrilllshare, and on Schoology of things change.

Wednesday Wisdom: Growth G – Growth: Strive to improve and learn every day. Hurricanes, growth doesn’t happen overnight—it happens when you choose progress over comfort. Every day is a new chance to get a little better than you were yesterday, whether that’s in your grades, your attitude, or how you treat others. Growth means: Trying again after you fail. Listening when you’re corrected. Asking questions when you’re unsure. Pushing yourself even when it would be easier to quit. You don’t have to be perfect to grow. You just have to be willing. 💭 “Small progress is still progress.” Today, focus on one way you can improve: One stronger effort. One better choice. One positive change. Because when Hurricanes commit to growth, we build momentum, confidence, and success. Keep learning. Keep improving. Keep becoming better.
