Alma Bryant's Scholars Bowl teams enjoyed another successful season in 2013-2014, both teams finishing in the top five in the county and with a winning record for the 16th consecutive year. We had two of the top eight individual players in the county, of over 120 of the top students in the county! Junior Samuel Collier finished 3rd among varsity players, the third consecutive year he's been an all-star. Sophomore Tyler Lott became the third overall champion in Bryant history, and the first junior varsity champion, finishing over 100 points ahead of his nearest competition.
Tryouts for Scholars Bowl will be Tuesday, August 19th. As always, 25 questions in tryouts will be random trivia, while 25 will come from our study guide, "You Gotta Know". Copies of this material need to be checked out of my room no later than Tuesday, August 12th. Tryouts will be held immediately after school, and will be over by 3:45. Anyone wanting to try out needs to see Mr. Patrick or Mr. Kimbrough to sign up.
